About Us
Historic Cars was founded in 2014 by Gaël Regent, after almost three decades working with premium automotive brands and within the world of collectible cars. Gaël has developed an exceptional knowledge across many marques and models, with a particular passion for sports cars from the 1950s and 1960s.
His background in restoration workshop management gives him the technical expertise to support clients not only in sales and acquisitions but also in preservation and restoration projects. As a long-standing member of the French Historic Technical Homologation Commission (FFSA), Gaël also advises clients on HTP applications and technical regulations for historic racing.
In 2017, Guillaume Le Metayer joined the company, bringing more than 20 years of international experience in historic motorsport. His in-depth knowledge of pre-war competition cars through to 1970s racing icons makes him a key advisor for discerning collectors. Guillaume’s passion, extensive network, and strong relationships with Europe’s leading collectors provide clients with unique access to rare and investment-worthy vehicles. He is also a co-founder of Ecurie Epicure and co-organizer of the Journées d’Automne, a celebrated historic motoring event in France.
